Ipswich Farmers Market Cancelled

SCROLL DOWN

Ipswich Farmers Market Cancelled

Regretfully We Announce:

The Ipswich Farmers Market will not be held for the 2018 Season. Due to circumstances beyond our control, and with the Market season right around the corner, we've made the difficult decision to cancel the Farmers Market. We consider the past four seasons of the Market a learning and growing period. During that time we learned things that made the Market work well, and other things that were challenges for the Market, some of which we were able to make adjustments for, and others more difficult to control. We are so grateful for all the support we've received from the local community including our market sponsors, vendors, volunteers, musicians and visitors. Without the involvement of all of you, we wouldn't have had this special weekly gathering place to share some of the the best parts of our community, including the principles and practices of supporting each other locally to create a viable, sustainable community.

Thank you for being a part of the Ipswich Farmers Market experience over the past years, and during this "break in the action" we hope to regroup and come back in future seasons with an enhanced version of the Ipswich Farmers Market supporting a vibrant, local, creative, sustainable community. And a special note of thanks to the volunteers who comprised the Market Advisory Team over the past few years doing everything from hand painting signs, sorting seeds into envelopes, posting on social media, establishing Market policies, hanging flyers, running children's activities at the Market, soliciting sponsorships, setting up and breaking down on Market days, and on and on, to make the Market a success! Thank you David Brooks, Ben Flemer, Lorin Hesse, Vicki Hughes, Karen Morad and Rob Wallace. Thanks also to Eric Josephson, one of the original visionaries of the Ipswich Farmers Market, and to Erika Gorgenyi and Amie Charland Brooks who took on managing the Market over the past four seasons. The Market couldn't have done it without you! And remember while we're taking a break, keep supporting your local growers, purveyors, artisans, businesses, musicians, and organizations. They are part of what makes Ipswich so special.
